Hallelujah! I must have at least one creative bone in my body (probably one of my tiny phalanges), because I somehow managed to come up with these on my own.
Mia turned two this week. The predictable thing for me to say would be, "I can't believe it!" But honestly, I can. She's been hanging with the older kids at the playground for quite some time, and her speech has improved dramatically in the last few weeks. I knew this was coming - her turning two, that is. Her age just seems to fit her now.
Mia has earned many a nickname in her short 24 months -- bruiser (from my mom), a dickens (from Jessie), a spitfire, spunky -- but we've settled on "crazy lady," or "crazy" for short. It's become our term of endearment for this little person who isn't afraid to try things that defy the law of gravity or are seemingly impossible. When she and Sebastian playfully wrestle, 9 out of 10 times it ends with Sebastian calling from the living room, "Mom, help! Mia has pinned me, and I can't get her off!!" Love that girl.
I love, love, love her curls. She has 5 perfect ringlets at the nape of her neck, and I can't help but twist them around my finger any chance I get. I would die for hair like hers.
I can't imagine our family without Mia. She is the life of the party, the source of the chaos, and we love every bit of it.
